BIG BORE CIS LOWER AIR BOX COLD AIR INTAKE KIT

All New 3D printed CIS lower air box with 3" inlet vs sock 2.25". We use the stock location under the radiator to connect the new 3" 3D printed elbow to the front of the car. All high temp components used in construction. Kit includes a 3D printed lower elbow that replaces the factory plastic elbow. A 3" diamter hose and a replacement CIS lower air box included. The factory lower air box with its 2.25" inlet is removed and new lower air box with its larger inlet is installed. The kit fits in the factory location, with no modifications to CIS needed. Factor clips that hold original factory CIS air box upper and lower sections together are no longer used! Yeh, they were a pain. New box uses 6M studs with bracket hold downs to secure the upper to the lower sections sandwiching the air filter as normal.

Engine swaps are great, new reliable power in your favorite chassis. Finishing touches are often the most difficult especially for custom builds. Being performance minded here, we would like to see those pod filters laying in the hot engine bay be replaced with a proper air filter and cold air solution. This kit uses the factory MK1 CIS air box mounting location to mount to. Also the factory cold air inlet location under the radiator is used but with the upgraded 3" elbow. Flex duct to connect the two. Then the top of the air box with the MAF mount goes on top, secured with 6M studs. the outlet from the top of the box points directly to the throttle body and has the proper inner diameter to keep you computer happy. MAF not included, your MAF ABA/MK4 MAF slides in and bolts on. New air filter included.
